P0138 is for the O2 sensor. Either shorted or open.


P0607 is for ECM problem. Most likely the O2 is the main cause of the problem and the code for a bad ECM is thown in just in case raplacing the O2 sensor or checking the wire harness do not fix the problem.

 

So do you think it's just coincidence that it happened after driving through some standing water? Just confused as to why the "traction slip" indicator comes on at the same time as CEL.

 

Did you fix this and how?
I don't think it's a 'coincidence' as I just got the same odb codes today, after driving in town through lots snow and water.

I've also had these codes on my 06Base. They tended to go out in a day or so and since I was waiting for parts for the oil consumption repair and was told not to do anything with the O2 sensor until after since the burning oil can foul them.

 

I recently had a vehicle with P0138 plus P0606. Literally all that the factory service manual has to say about the P0606 is "replace the ECM." So my approach was to address the P0138 first, then try to validate the repair.
