I have a black OEM front grille with two holes for parking sensors and planning to install it with the kit. The Toyota sensor retainers that are factory mounted on that front grille do not work with the 89341-02050 sensors that came with this kit purchased on Taobao. They work instead with 89341-06070 sensors that are available on EBay. I already have two of the 89341-06070 sensors to mount on the OEM front grille.

However, the wiring harness for the 89341-02050 sensors that came with the kit uses 2-pin connectors going to the sensors, while the 89341-06070 sensors that fit the front grille use a 6-pin connector.

I included a picture of the two sensors side by side.

QUESTION:
WOULD SOMEBODY BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE WIRING DIAGRAM FOR THE SENSORS USING THE 6-PIN CONNECTORS, IN ORDER TO KNOW WHERE ON THE SIX-PIN CONNECTOR TO HOOKUP THE TWO WIRES THAT THE KIT HARNESS USES FOR A PARKING SENSOR?

I did more research and the 6-pin connector that plugs into the 89341-06070 sensors that fit the OEM front grille retainers is the 82824-78020 connector (pictured below).

I need to find out which of the six pins need to be connected to the two wires from the harness for the parking sensor.

CAN ANYBODY PROVIDE A PIN DIAGRAM FOR THE 6-PIN PARKING SENSOR (89341-06070) OR FOR THE 6-PIN CONNECTOR (82824-78020)?

I communicated with the seller and the control module that comes with the kit is not compatible with the 6-pin sensors that I have and was thinking to use on the front grille. I am probably going to replace the retainers that are currently mounted on the inside of the front grille I want to use with two of those that came with the kit.
However, I am so busy for the next five weeks, I am not gonna have the time to even plug in the kit and test it before installation. I will get back with info, once I find some time to test the whole thing.

Thank u for this information
But i asked
How to connect the module to the car
??
Tazdevil, the parking assist kit comes with a dedicated T-cable that needs to be connected to the wiring harness of the car's safety sense camera which is mounted on the windshield, right behind the rear view mirror.

I am re-posting bellow the picture of the kit, but this time with the two white connectors of the dedicated T-cable circled in yellow: the female connector on the left and the male connector on the right.

As you can see, the T-cable also has a wide black connector that goes into the J3 control module. The control module ends up being mounted on the passenger side under the dash, behind the glove box. It has a dedicated spot. Next to it there is a dedicated hole for the buzzer to be clipped in. The buzzer (bottom left in the picture) connects to that black male connector pictured below not far from the buzzer.

In order to connect the kit to the car, you need to remove the black cover that covers the safety sense camera of your car (located behind the rear view mirror). Then, you unplug the car's safety sense camera cable and plug it into the female white connector of the T-cable that is part of the parking assist kit, while you plug the male white connector of the T-cable into the safety sense camera. You pretty much use the kit's T-cable as a bypass that allows you to connect the kit to the vehicle.

I am also posting a picture that was originally uploaded in the older thread started in 2021 by the guy who started that thread. This second picture is showing how he connected the kit's T-cable behind the rear view mirror, as I explained here.
I circled with yellow the connectors of the T-cable in this picture as well, so you can see how they look connected:
  • the male white connector plugged into the safety sense camera
  • and the car's gray male connector (which was originally connected into the car's safety sense camera), now connected into the female white connector of the T-cable.

These two pictures should clarify your question.

What does this kit allow you to do, ( assuming still a manual parking )?
anav_ds, the parking assist system is activated at low speeds. The front and rear sensors read the distance between the front and/or rear of your vehicle and the objects in the proximity, and the system warns you using audio beeps and a graphic displayed on the multimedia display, to let you know when you get too close to the surrounding objects or vehicles.

To make it clearer, here is a quote from Toyota's website describing how the regular parking assist system works:

"When the parking assist system is on and your vehicle's speed drops below 6 miles an hour, the sonar graphic will appear in the Multi-Information Display and you'll hear beeping to warn you that the system senses another vehicle or obstacle very close to your vehicle.
If the transmission is in Drive, only the front sensors activate. When you shift into Reverse, both the front and rear sensors come online.
The speed of the warning tone and color of the displayed graphic will give you an idea of how close you are. A constant tone and red indicator means you are very close."

Here is also a video explaining and showing how they work. You only need to watch it from 0:40 to 2:06.

I finally tested the parking assist kit purchased from Taobao on my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid XLE and it works flawlessly. I did a temporary install:
1- Unscrewed the rearview mirror
2- Removed the Safety Sense camera cover mounted on the inside of the windshield (press downward on it and it pops out easily)
3- Unplugged the cable from the Safety Sense camera and plugged it into one end of the T-cable of the parking assist kit.
4- Plugged the other end of the T-cable of the parking assist kit into the Safety Sense camera connector
5- Taped the parking sensors temporarily to the front and rear bumpers
6- Tested the parking assist kit by slowly driving forward and in reverse toward the garage door (I listed below these pictures the links to the two videos I recorded as I drove forward and in reverse; you will see the parking assist in action).

Will this fit in all Rav4s, aka a 2023 Prime SE. ( minimum requirements ?)

What range of objects will it detect, wall, curb garbage can?? tricycle?
May not - the Prime's CanBus is encrypted. I own a R4P and in researching add-ons that use the CanBus the Prime is often excluded - at a minimum the product should explicitly state R4P compatibility.

Did not know the Prime's CanBus is encrypted. If it's true, the parking assist kit may not work with the Prime vehicles. It works for sure with the regular gas and the Hybrid models. One thing to do would be to ask the seller if he installed this kit on any Prime RAV4 and see what he says.

@chris2453 Thank you for putting this together!
I've been wanting to install the OEM style parking sensors on my Prime since the other thread started but there was never a clear instruction.
I'm planning to order a set as soon as you've added instructions.
Thank you!
Did you end up attempting this with the Prime? I would chip in for someone to be the guinea pig and test it out.

Why don't you create a Taobao account and message the seller to see if he installed it on any Prime in China? He is very good at replying. I would message him but I got banned by Taobao from sending messages after I took screenshots of another kit he is selling, circled some cables and connectors in the screenshot pictures and tried to message him those pics with some questions I had. Apparently, the AI running the Taobao site thought I was trying to promote or advertise stuff on their platform and banned my account from messaging with sellers. Now I am waiting for their Customer Service to hopefully unban my account so I can message again. I can use the account for anything else but messaging with sellers. Crazy. I do not recommend trying to send any pictures via Taobao's messaging platform.
