I went with the film protection and it looks ok. The birds seem to be experts on missing the film and hitting the paint. The complaint I have is by one of the door handles, the film has bubbled. The service advisor indicated that this wouldn't be covered under warranty and I would have to purchase a complete set and pay for installation labor to replace it. This seems to be a bit suspicious to me.
