hey guys,

First time here. I have a Rav 4 2006 and i am looking for part numbers for the MAP Lamp bulb. This is the interior lights that are in the front side of the car, not the dome lights but next to the Sun visor. I think they are also called Coutesy lights.

If you have any part numbers for this, i would greatly appreciate it. It seems the light stopped working for me and it may need replacing. Hopefuuly i can find something at the AUTOZONE

Thanks

The owner's manual doesn't give a number--it shows them to be 8 watt wedge-base bulbs. The license plate bulb is a 168 rated at 5 watts and the backup lights are 921's rated at 16 watts. They all have the wedge base.

I would definitely use LED's if possible. They run cooler, last longer, and produce a whiter light. As for incandescent bulbs, you could try 10 watt, but I wouldn't go much higher than that.

OK, I can confirm that these 168 wedge base 8 watt lamps are used in both map lights and both vanity lights:

Toyota Part Number: 90981-11062
Printed on the glass: TOSHIBA 12V8W

The 168 bulb for the license plate looks identical, but is only 5 watts. The "festoon" bulb in the dome light is rated at 5 watts, but the larger one in the cargo door light is 8 watts. I'm replacing them all with LED's--noticeably brighter and cheap from Ebay.
