Toyota has updated their website for the new 2020 RAV4 Hybrid (with android auto!!!) that should be arriving in a couple of weeks at dealer lots. Have seen a couple folks mention they have ordered their 2020 rav4 hybrids and figured now was a good time to get OTD prices on these new 2020 models.

Used this procedure (read on PriusChat.com) for my 3rd Toyota hybrid purchase. Call dealer of choice, ask for Internet Sales Department, get (usually offsite) person to set up sales rep at dealer of choice to take you purchase/factory order at or near Dealer Invoice price. This was a little harder this time as 2020 Rav4h was just starting production and I let them charge MSRP for the Options as I didn’t have invoice pricing for them at the time. Now I can see them here; http://www.carquotes.com/new-prices/toyota/rav4/2020/hybrid-limited-awd#Options. The dealer put in a dealer request for my exact build and explained that it will be built for, or assigned from the delivery docks to, my dealership. I didn’t ask sales person to make up a delivery timeline but I will; I think 4 to 8 weeks. I can wait as I still enjoy driving my 2012 Prius v, and the person I’m handing the Prius v down to can wait too. Put down $1000 refundable deposit to initiate everything.

thanks for the tips.

I downloaded the invoice dealer cost for the Rav4 Hybrid 2020 and it's $29,305 for XLE base with no packages.
adding $500 to the invoice price plus sales, doc and title, reg lic fees I get the following OTD price calc.

$30,515 MSRP
$29805 = invoice + $500
$150 doc fee
$29,955 subtotal
$1872 6.25% sales tax (Texas)
$210 title, lic, reg fee

$32,037 total OTD price

should I just call around to the internet depts and offer $32,037 on a OTD price now? or wait till Dec and see if I can score some added end of year dealer incentives? thanks

Dogtown, All... I'm the proud owner of a 2020 RAV4 Hybrid Limited via Jim Coleman Toyota, Bethesda MD... I will place a link to a brief video/Vlog I made titled, "Hit A Freakin' Deer @ 65-MPH; This Is What Happens." But first, a question for anyone; did any of you sign up for Remote Start via Toyota App? I downloaded it but it there is an annual fee after the year-long trial. Does anyone know how much? Shouldn't be a fee period just to remote start your car...Not Feeling That At All.

Not an exceptional deal, but it was reasonable enough for me. This particular configuration (especially with the pano roof) didn't seem very easy to get in the Pacific Northwest at least. The dealerships I emailed weren't very willing to negotiate on the price considering that the XSE models are being snapped up before they even hit the lots. I ended up going through the Costco auto program since it knocked $1,842 off the MSRP. Most dealerships I emailed back and forth with were only willing to go to about $800-$1,200 off MSRP, and even then there was some pretty stiff resistance given the scarcity of the model. I spent 15 minutes between the time I submitted the Costco request to the time I was on the phone speaking with the dealership and reserving the car that was in transit from Japan. I will have it in about 3 weeks. In that sense, I felt like the discount amount was a reasonable trade-off for not having to spend a lot of time bartering with numerous dealerships like I normally would.

If you've got time, energy, and are willing to wait for the right XSE configuration though, I think you can probably negotiate a better deal without too much trouble. Inventory constraints do seem to be easing up a bit, so you can probably get some good deals if you're flexible on the XSE configuration you want.

good price... what dealer did you go to? I live in Houston and were they willing to deal on the 2020 models?

Had to chance to drive wifes and mine for two weeks. I definitely like the stiffness and the sport look is nice. But there are a few options i noticed on the limited that XSE is lacking. I think if you can find a 2019 go balls out and haggle to get it bought...2020s i feel dealers can name the price as they are on back order

I scoured the dealers within an hour or so of the Bay area. The best I was able to come up with after about two weeks was $1900 off MSRP for a 2020 (either XSE or limited fully loaded). We bought a 2019 when they first came out as well and I was able to get $3000 off MSRP through Costco / haggling but Toyota was running the $1000 manufacturers rebate so the cost/profit is about the same for the dealer in the end. The general offer was $500 off MSRP, a few dealers were able to do $1000, and 2 agreed to the $1900. Could probably eek out a bit more or a few extra accessories but that seems to be about the hard limit right now around here.

I used the Costco Auto Program which is supposed to be "no-haggle" pricing (prearranged member pricing). But I did still haggle to get this price.

This vehicle was on the dealer's lot with only a few miles on the clock.

2020 XLE. Convenience + Cold Weather Package + roof rack crossbars. MSRP $33,020. Near Sacramento.
I didn’t buy because my dealer didn’t budge on the price. It’s against my DNA to pay MSRP. I can wait.

From my dealer:
“That vehicle just arrived and is currently available. Toyota has no incentives or discounts at this time. It is even excluded from Costco pricing as well. The rock bottom price would be $33k before tax and license. They are in high demand and low supply. If you want to reserve it please let me know.”

What region is this offer valid in. You don’t have location info in your profile. I don’t see it in the Central New York (NY, NJ and Connecticut) region.

I'm still waiting for the dealer swap to take place so I could back out if I wanted to, but here was what I was able to negotiate without any rebates or military or college grad. I'm bringing my own financing, too.

Color: Silver Sky Metallic
Interior: Black
Packages: Limited Cold Weather, Limited Advanced Technology, Panoramic Moonroof
Accessories: Mudguards, All Weather Mats
MSRP: $40388
Selling price: $38000
Discount: $2,388
$39,958 out the door price because of a hefty trade-in tax credit.

I'm getting a bit frustrated with this dealer swap thing. I know where the car is, I could just go get it myself and tell them to match the deal there, so I'm giving them a few more days before doing so.
