hi guys
I recently purchased a Rav4 2022 xle premium
I really dislike the current head unit style, so I decided to find something that fits this vehicle
Do you have any suggestions?
i find a product on AliExpress that looks very nice, but I am not sure what features will be lost by installing it. Is there anyone that already has this product ?

I just got one from Aliexpress last month. Perfect fit on my 2021 XLE Hybrid Preimum. Very easy to install, everything plug & play. The screen is super clear and sharp. All buttons on the steering wheel working fine. Wireless Apple carplay connection faster than I expect. But I suggest you double check with seller to make sure the firmware support 2022 model.

I have some questions:
1) Does reverse camera work automatically and properly?
2) Does tire pressure information appear on screen?
3) Do adjustable car settings from the factory headunit appear on this new unit? Example: door locking, etc.
4) What features from the factory headunit are missing with the installation of this unit?

Can you also show screen shots of these features from your new headunit? Thanks.

Thank you guys for your answers , i just have 1 question left before ordering that , it would be great if you can help me
My car has Toyota connect feature and i can start engine remotely with key fob or using Toyota app to start it as well, it shows DCM signals on the top right of stock head unit , i Couldn’t find any information about these on seller page ,
i want make sure changing head unit doesn’t effect on these features and i can keep using remote engine start , what do you think?

any issues with phone calls and your voice sounding low? I didn't install the microphone that came with the unit like @kkfree00 said but not sure I need to do that since my voice is coming across sounding low to the other person on phone calls.

anyone having that issue? or did anyone install the microphone and use it? thanks
I tested it before I close the cover, it worked well without the microphone

Hi, I just wana update some of the issue of this head unit:
1. the reverse camera is sometime glitch once when driving. it will not cause nav issue but
2. the navigation sometime showing bad resolution when driving. not sure if this is related to first issue, when switch back and forth it return normal.

I checked some link like this below but still don't know what cause first issue. One of the user has same issue but different head unit. I guess that's only for 2022 rav4, can some one post a video if you had same issue? I gona reply to seller to see if they can find out what's the issue of this.

Those images are helpful. I was worried about all the connectors that did not have anything plugged in. e.g. the 5g/Wi-Fi, green port above it, coaxial, between the usb/AV port. Do those stay empty or are there corresponding connectors from the car? What about the single wires for brake and the like? Do I just splice those in? Is it obvious where?

Ive got the 2022 Limited, will report back what does/doesn’t work after I manage to get everything hooked up. My main concern is the 360 view, cross traffic alert, things like that.

kkfree00: I bought the same unit from same vendor at aliexpress that you bought. When I connected the power dongle, the unit does not display anything. I am not able to figure out if the UNIT is faulty or the power harness is a wrong one. Do you have any ideas? I am installing on 2022 RAV4 hybrid XLE premium.
Thanks for your input,
Divi

Do you still have the OEM unit?

Greetings All,

I was able to install a Teyes CC3 over the Christmas break, so far so good as far as all the functions are going. I still have 2 more cameras to install to get the 360 vision up and running and I still have to pair the OBD link. I will be doing a full review later once I have had more time with it.
