I just got one from Aliexpress last month. Perfect fit on my 2021 XLE Hybrid Preimum. Very easy to install, everything plug & play. The screen is super clear and sharp. All buttons on the steering wheel working fine. Wireless Apple carplay connection faster than I expect. But I suggest you double check with seller to make sure the firmware support 2022 model.

It will be good if someone can post a short clip/video showing how well the gps operates in actual situation using probably google maps or waze. This link discussed a possible problem.

Hello everyone: I bought this unit from Aliexpress that KKfree0 bought from (DMDcar). When I plugged it into my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid XLE premium, the system does not power-up. Do you guys have any hint on how to make it work, before I consider it a dud?
Greatly appreciate your help,
Divi

kkfree00: I bought the same unit from same vendor at aliexpress that you bought. When I connected the power dongle, the unit does not display anything. I am not able to figure out if the UNIT is faulty or the power harness is a wrong one. Do you have any ideas? I am installing on 2022 RAV4 hybrid XLE premium.
Thanks for your input,
Divi

Greetings All,

I was able to install a Teyes CC3 over the Christmas break, so far so good as far as all the functions are going. I still have 2 more cameras to install to get the 360 vision up and running and I still have to pair the OBD link. I will be doing a full review later once I have had more time with it.

Ah this looks nice, we have Teyes CC3 available in OZ. However, I am so inclined towards this : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004846004453.html

Appears option for 1 DIN as one of the customer feedback shows it being installed on a Toyota RAV4

Ever finish your install? I did mine a few months ago and can't change my car lock settings (also lost remote services), considering putting back the OEM.

I haven't gotten back to the cameras or the OBD, I know that a FW update is out and need to download it. I wasn't able to remap the steering wheel buttons, I will have to look at the lock settings to see if those could be changed or not. I believe that all the Toyota remote services need the stock head unit , so if you are really wanting those back you will have to go back to stock. What remote service are you needing? I did the remote start mod using the Start-X unit and am very pleased with the capability since I only had to pay once as opposed to a subscription. I'll get back to mods when it gets below 100 again, my swamp cooler is useless at 110+.🥵

Cheers

Hi. I did a lot of research on replacing head units. It is a tricky thing, always. I own a brand new 2023 RAV4 Hybrid AWD in Executive trim, all bells and whistles apart from the sun roof. My head unit is a 10,5 inch OEM Panasonic 86140-43L00 and performs very well. Only thing is, it lacks AM. This is because in Europe AM has been discontinued in many countries but not everywhere. And I’m a radio amateur who likes to listen what’s on and there is still so much on AM that I really can’t understand why Toyota decided to no longer feature AM. What I tried to do, is to find out if an Australian Toyota OEM head unit would fit my car. AM/FM spacing of the frequencies is the same so no problems there. What might be a problem though is: does my car still have an AM antenna built in the fin on the roof. It seems impossible to find that out. The other option is building in an after market unit. That creates possible new problems, will those plugs on the wire harness fit, if not are there wire harnesses to make it fit? Keep in mind that a 2019-2021 RAV4 has different head unit plugs, a new Toyota OEM head unit will not fit a 2019-2021 car and vice versa. So I decided to live with it, against my wish but there is too much money involved and still it is not certain if things will work.
