Safe and effective Battery Tender type device?

Hello all, I was wondering what a good battery tender type device (or would that be a battery maintainer?) that works well and is safe for our RAV4s. I've had a medical issue/surgery and probably won't be driving for a few months. I'm just concerned if those things work as normal as they always have or if there's any additional concerns with such a modern and electronic vehicle. My last vehicle before my RAV4 was a '99, so I've been out of the loop on this stuff for decades. LOL

I'm just looking for something simple to keep the battery from discharging and getting killed. Thanks!

I’ve been using a Battery Tender brand for 13 years with my Miata, no issues. Since I store it all winiter I do disconnect the battery from the car before I hook it up. Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but just in case the maintainer does something stupid it won’t hurt the car electronics.

i like this charger
and then extend the power cord out the front grill with a custom cord.
and if you like to have a block heater you can make the cord as a Y cord to power both with one front cord.
i plug in all the fleet cars and trucks after use for the day.
that way i always have a good full battery charge at the first run of the day.
and they help extend the battery life as well.
the last battery in the rav lasted 10 years! no kidding.
the charger did that for sure.

Here you go

Safe enough to use on anything from a RAV4 to a Ferrari Enzo.
