I was looking at that one too, but it looked like it was only for reading/reseting trouble codes. The laptop one will constantly monitor up to 4 (I think) different sensors at one time and log the results. Will the Actron do this as well?

 

I bought a scan tool three years ago. It connects to my pc and allows me to monitor the codes and all of the engine parameters while driving and saves everything on disk. When I was very active in looking at how my 1996 drove - I used this scan tool to help me understand some of the timing issues. Haven't used it for a year now. It was a Ease Diagnostic Tool for $350 in 2001 (I got is as a birthday present). Since I have two RAV4's I justified the exhorbitant expense. It was fun to use and made long drives (while my wife drove) enjoyable as I could watch the engine parameters change up and down a hill.
