Hi there!

Is there a way to keep the RSA switched off permanently? It keeps switching itself back on every time I restart the car.
When I’m on cruise control there’s an annoying beeping sound every time I go slightly over the speed limit when driving over small hills or in a curvy landscape.
The beeps stops when I switch off the RSA (road sign assist), but the darned thing turns itself on every time I start the car. Super annoying!

the interface is designed when you select to not be beeped at, it stays off permanently

go to RSA but instead of hitting OK once to turn on/off RSA...
hold OK...hold takes you to a new menu where you
can set notifications to off, visual, or visual/audio

mine does anyway....

If the system judges that the vehicle is being driven over the speed limit,
performing prohibited actions, etc. in relation to the recognized road signs,
it notifies the driver using a notification display and notification buzzer.

I cannot turn off RSA completely, it re-enables on start, but the notification method
is permanent.
I choose no buzzer

I can silence notifications by pressing and holding the 'OK' button in the Settings/RSA menu. The menu displays a sub-menu with the following structure:

Image

  • RSA [ON/OFF] <== setting will reset when you turn off the engine
    • Notification Method <== setting will NOT reset when you turn off the engine
      • Above Speed Limit
        • No Notification
        • Only Visual
        • Visual & Audio
      • Overtaking
        • No Notification
        • Only Visual
        • Visual & Audio
    • Notification Level <== setting will NOT reset when you turn off the engine
      • 10 km/h
      • 5 km/h
      • 2 km/h
Even if I choose "No Notification", it will only disable notifications for speed limits and overtaking situations, meaning that recognized road signs are still visible on the dashboard at
all times. I have to turn off the main RSA menu completely to get rid of them - every time I start the car. This isn't a huge issue because I won't be plagued by continuous beeping, but the road signs will remain visible. I tried to change this using an Xtool D8S via special functions, but it seems that this is not a customizable feature.

Let me know if you have any further ideas.
