Throttle Body "clean"

Had the car in for service today 72K. The dealer recommended a "Throttle body service" for $ 189.95 It said they found throttle plate to be dirty. How did they inspect the actual throttle plate if nothing was taken apart. Original dust and dirt on all the bolts and screws.

The car runs great would you recommend this service? Is it a DIY job?
Thanks, Bob

Thanks for the input

Kind of thought that it was just something to add to their bottom line but wanted to be sure since I could find nothing in the owners manual about it. These Toyota dealers just seem to have there "own" schedule of things to do. Its kind of funny that one week before I brought my Hyundai into a Hyundai dealer and the first thing the service advisor did was to bring up the owners manual on his screen to see exactly what needed to be done...no upsell. Just normal oil and filter. I guess that's kind of rare these days.
