I think that is the idea, to have a new version that looks similar to the FJ cruiser. If you do a search for mini Land Cruiser, there are numerous articles about it. The one I cited above is from the Paris Auto Show, and Toyota billed it as a 2025; that pretty much confirms that it is real. Car and Driver thinks it will arrive in the US as a 2026 model: https://www.caranddriver.com/toyota/compact-cruiser-ev

There is one interesting article in the search that they seem to be testing it, in disguise, in Colorado. I do know that out of the SLC Toyota offices, they do a lot of testing in the desert south west and rocky mountain areas; many of the photos yous see in the sales literature are from this area.

Just what Land Cruiser buyers wanted, yet another Prado, even smaller! I can appreciate this vehicle on it's own merits, but it's a shame what has happened to the USA namesake presently.

Recently there was an older LC for sale near me, not sure of the year (maybe 70s or 80s), but it was immaculate. Absolutely no rust. The most interesting thing about it was it was right hand drive, and a diesel. They wanted $30k for it.
