The Toyota RAV-X concept looks bold and definitely catches attention. It’s cool to see Toyota push creative boundaries at events like SEMA. I wonder how this concept translates to what we’ll see in future models or if it’s just for show. There are different reactions online, so it’ll be interesting to hear from people who’ve had direct experience at SEMA. Agreed, noting new here. I think Motortrends rendition is much closer with the nose of the new Camry. Just like the Camry, the new Gen Rav update will be incremental unlike the drastic change from the Gen 4 to 5.

Hmmm, where does the Cross fit into the marketing literature in this line of small suv's?
Maybe Toyota should make a Rav-X to compete against the baby Bronco?

That vehicle in the vid looks like a Peugeot jacked up with aluminum axle spacers, then they added a StarTrek NextGen front bumper clip.
As is, even as concept, it does not peak my interest what-so-ever.

Give me a Rav4 4cyl turbo with a Torsen 4x4 system, then I look at it.

 

Not for me. I like traditional, conservative looking SUV. At the beginning, the 2024 RAV4 front style was not my taste, but its function, features and technology were way more important than the look. As time goes on I am okay with the style which is not too crazy.

 

Toyota went hardlines on just about everything. Look at what they did in the Lexus line too, all sorts of choppy boxy, which is something that does not appeal to me.

 

I got to see it in person. I want the Fox suspension off of it if anyone has a contact at Toyota lol
