I like it. Looks like more coverage than the LP Aventure. Hope it fits all the other trims as well.

 

I like the OEM look of it, I just hope I can add it to my 2019 Rav4 Adventure. But I'm thinking the skid plate from LP Adventure is going to come in cheaper.

Is this better than the LPA ones?
Can we even buy it without proving that we have the TRD model? I know I the past, it’s been hard to get parts for special edition models without having proof you own one.

Most likely, once a part number is discovered, BAM will have it and they don't seem to care. For example, the headlights seals are not part of my VIN build but I bought them from them and they are installed.

If anything it'll avoid the engine cover from being an inevitable plastic piece dangling later on in life.

I would add this to my XSE just to protect against the things I have seen on the highway.

 

It doesn't look too strong but at least it won't be busted the first time some heavy snow hits it.

I saw a skid plate today on a 4Runner that had holes for ventilation. It looks like the TRD one for the Rav is solid. I suppose I could drill holes but wouldn't a skid plate be better with holes for ventilation?

Did you see the $143 shipping charge? for less than $100 more I'll take Toyota's part any day.

 

Im interested in the TRD skid plate as well. I called Toyota parts to see if they can get me a price but they told me I need the 2021 TRD vin number in order to look it up. Made a call to a buddy and got some info on a 2021 Rav4 with a vin#. Ill give Toyota a call again tomorrow and see if I can get a price or a part number for it. Ill let you guys know.

From the video above..it seem like the skid plate is a 2 piece. I heard from someone saying the new TRD has 3..can the 3rd on be in the rear? I may be wrong, dont quote me on that.

I need a rear skid plate more to be honest. For some reason my rear plastic panel under the electric battery is all jacked up. I wish someone makes one for the rear. Anyone know some good DIY for making skid plate?

 

I went by my local dealer today and ask about the TRD skid. Because the car is not yet out the part is extremely hard to find any info but after he made a call and then we’re on. He was on the phone with another Toyota specialist for good 10 min.

Long story short he said the TRD skid plate will not fit my 2019 hybrid and the part has a no return policy. Sorry I didn’t ask if it will fit the regular gas models.

Part number PT938-42210 is the front skid plate
Part number PT938-42211 is the rear skid plate
Both the skid plate are the same material and finish.
These skid plates will fit on hybrid as well.

 

Just because the part numbers are not tied to the build of a specific VIN number doesn't mean that they will not fit. Take for example, the headlight seals.

I ordered the PT938-42211 for my 2020 TRD. Actually, I only need the front part of the skid plate since I have LP's installed.

 

Post some pictures when you get it, I want to compare it to my hybrid. I’m hoping it can fit.
