Updated Tail Lights

Sure wish these were avialable for the R4P:

All Gen. 4.5 R4’s share the same tail light part number, for example: 2019-2021 Toyota Tail Light (Left, Rear) 81561-42221 | AutoNation Toyota Gulf Freeway
They probably would be fine- I doubt the aftermarket sellers do something different than Toyota. They probably just haven’t tested with this model.

But with all that wiring and resistor install in the vid it still looks like a hack job to me. And could still throw codes on any model.

After all, when using the HOLD feature when braking the brake lights remain lit after letting your foot off the pedal. 🤔
The brake lights are turned on whenever the brakes are applied. On the hybrid, the brakes are often applied when the needed deceleration is greater than the regeneration capacity, such as going down a steep, long hill, or when the traction battery is full due to regeneration. The brakes lights no longer need just a foot on the brake pedal.
