USB ports not charging phone consistently

Just got 2021 Prime SE and I've notice with my LG V30+ phone that the USB charging ports cycle on and off every couple seconds or so. So the phone is constantly beeping and flashing its screen as it cycles in and out of charge mode.

It does this with the two charge ports inside the center arm rest and the ones in the back seat. It does NOT do this with the USB port in the center cubby under the dashboard (that charges fine, if a bit slow).

Anyone experience similar issue?

Yes I had. But upon further thought, both cables were about the same length (fairly long). On a hunch, I tried a much shorter cable and the problem seems to have disappeared.

I suspect the voltage from the port is on the low side of the USB standard and the wire resistance of the long cable is making the voltage too low at the phone. The phone may also be more sensitive to this than other brands as well.

If I can ever find my USB power analyzer, I can confirm.

Update,

With the shorter cable when first plugged in, phone will often cycle charge/no charge two three or three times then settle in and stay charging fine and fairly fast.
Very odd. But i guess I'll live with it.
