Wheel Stance Recommendation

Need to buy some winter wheels for winter (new purchase and still snowing here)

I am not opposed to going with OEM stance but would love to see how the rav4 looks with another stance.

Primarily looking for a black spoked rim not gloss though. I would like to know the following with pics if possible
  • Offset (i.e ET)
  • Width of rims and tire (eg 7.5 --> 225 or 235)
  • Diameter (Thinking of sticking with 17 for comfort though)

Thanks

Are you thinking of appearance or funtionality? The profile of the tire is the major influence of wheel width. Offset affects whether the tire projects outside the body outlines. Wide means more slop thrown on the body and increases load on bearings and steering components. Offset, width and diameter changes away from standard can interfere with brake calipers etc.
I think you can guess I am not a fan of that!:LOL:
Yes I am aware of how it functions as I am no stranger to modify vehicles.

Primarily I am looking to see it flushing the wheel offset with the body give the vehicle a wider looking stance as I enjoy this look. Wider wheel do as well. Profile can be adjusted based on diameter however I am not looking to reduce the profile too much maybe no less than 55 as ride comfort is a concern. 235/60/R17 running on 7.5R17 was my first thought. However offset flushness behavior is hard to gauge hence the request for picture of other stances.
