Automobile color choices are fewer than they were in the past. These days, and especially with a hard to procure model like the R4P, color options are few. Since my garage already held my wife's 2019 RAV4 Hybrid in Blueprint, AND my new RAV4 Prime in Blueprint, I wanted to make a change. Today, it came home from the wrap shop and I'm very pleased with it. I won't have trouble locating it a big parking lot now.

Like the Orange! How much that job set you back? Inquiring minds want to know.
Ouch. too rich for my blood.

Is it me, or it looks glittery too?

Hmmm, I wonder if tiedye is possible. Now that would stick out.

I like what people can do with wraps. I prefer the thousands of dollars in my bank account (aka invested for early retirement) instead. Not just this, but many car mods I find a waste of good money (what's wrong with the OEM ___ that you already paid for?) - but most vehicles are just transportation for us. * shrug *

I don't know how well the standard vinyl will hold up to these hazards. My vehicle probably won't see much if any off-road use, but stones from the highway are always a risk. The upside is the vinyl will protect the underlying paint. If you get damage to a section, that piece can be replaced. They do offer additional "rock guard" clear cover film too. I didn't opt in for that on the front. However, I did have them add it on the top side of the rear bumper where I tend to get minor scratches from moving items in and out of the hatch.

The universe must be messing around with me. I just watched a guy tint his GMC Truck on youtube yesterday and as soon as I saw the background of your picI knew it looked familar.

For the cost conscious, you can buy the wrap and do it yourself as I did on my 99 RAV4. A word of caution, it will try your patience. They state it takes two to do it but I couldn't find anyone that was as much of a perfectionist as I am so I did it almost completely by myself.

Now we know what Pat measures money in. :ROFLMAO:

My wife was on a (the first) waiting list for a Gen II Prius, and settled for max trim but wrong color because it was available. She was very un-happy with the color, until I convinced her that she should consider throwing some $$ at the problem and make it the color your want. In the end she kept the color and Silver Prius (as it was known) drives on today with a friend of the family in it’s original silver color.

Bottom line; You can’t put a price tag on somebody else’s feelings, if they feel their car needs to be a different color.
