No Android Auto, No Carplay in RAV4 2019 Europe / Netherlands

However... now I found this information on a german site:
Knuddels Corolla TS - PRIUSforum
(just CTR+F on the site for our DCU number) There is mentioning of a file: "17TDT1EU-CA01_Latest2.zip" supposedly a version 1215, now I got the 1141.
If you google the zip file, you can download it directly elsewhere... do you feel adventourous and wanna try updating yours? :)

that update does not matter for android update for my car, as I will not get any update for my car that was delivered June 2019 [emoji848]

Maybe you want to update the firmware to the latest one and tell us what happens? :)

I have navi here in Sweden and have several numbers. My car I think is made around July/august 2019.
I really hope for the update because Toyota infotainment is really bad imho..

I have Navi here in Sweden but different modell number and several numbers.
I really hope for this updated because the Toyota infotainment is crap imho...

I just received a message from the dealer, that both Android Auto and Apple Carplay are not active in Europe.... Does anyone know more about this? Any plans. To my understanding it should be just a software update...

If I read this forum Apple Carplay is possible in the RAV4 in the states.... What I also heard is that the new Aygo will have both Android Auto and Apple Carplay activated....

The lesson that the European team did not get was the impact of You Tube reviews coming out of the US market where CarPlay was standard and the consumers in europe and globally picking up on this. I have been promised that this will be able to be retro fitted and was supposed to happen in May. I think the Virus got in the way and they had some other software things to fix. I am now told later in July or early August. Lets see.... this is really a simple thing to sort out but whether they are not selling the volumes they expected and so cannot switch in the new units or they just dont understand software they are being very quiet about this mess.

My personal opinion, is that the Toyota mechanical engineering guys are very good, While the electronic engineering is extremely poor. Even internally there is a lot of simple things with the electronics, the rear reversing system makes a noise when a towbar is connected. On the more complicated side the lane assist system is poor compared to other brands.

in short you would expect your new car to connect to the phone which has been on the market more than ten years instead it connects to it as an iPod which is no longer made ...... anyone from Toyota prepared to put their hands up and come up with a solution?
