I have a next version on my rav4 2019 car. How I can update this system and get this android auto? I dont have a navigation system. Where I can download this update? I really need this android auto update because I drive so much every day.

I finally felt confident trying to install AA on my 2019 Rav4 hybrid (no navigation) today after reading this and other forums about this topic. It was less then 10 minuters to install USB 3. Dealer told me when I had the car in for service that AA wouldnt be possible on my car because it was manufactured before october 2019 (mine was made August in Japan). I have a Fujitsu headunit DCU was 17TDT1EU-CA02 before, 17TDT1EU-CA32 after installation. Also my audio software was upgraded when it was in for service to 1222. Just finished the update for my 17TDTEU-CA02 unit without navigation. I needed only the "full package" , now it's working like a charm. Let's close this topic and open a new one "No Wireless Android Auto, No Wireless Carplay in RAV4 2019"

USB1 - finished successfully
USB2 - update starts but than appear the message that it’s have insufficient memory to update it.
USB3 - ends with red screen

Can somebody help me with a solution?

I tried to update my system as well.

These are the specification of my system:
Model ID DCU: 17TDTEU-DA01
Model ID MEU: 17TMT2EU-FA00

USB1 - finished successfully
USB2 - update starts and update it and finished. After switching my car on and off, the infotainment keeps rebooting every 10 seconds!

It tries to load map and navigation, and it crashes and reboots again and again!

I think it has problem of load navigation or maps.

I went to Toyota dealer, and they told me the navigation should be changed completely, and it costs 2000 EUROS!

Can somebody help me with a solution?

I don't want to pay this amount of money!

Are you the same person with two different user names? Not that it matters to me, but it can lead to confusion asking the same question multiple times.

Not sure what radios are installed at the factory for your country, but you might try to find the radio model that has the upgrades you want, then install it yourself. It will require some research to find what works in your country, but it would be a lot less expensive than 2000 Euros. That is what we do in the USA such as this thread: (43) Cheap Audio Plus 8" Display Upgrade with Corolla Radio | Toyota RAV4 Forums The Corolla radio I got cost only $250 US.

Nah man... USB3 was all that was necessary for 17TDT1EU-CA01. Managed to easily upgrade with proper 32GB FAT32 USB stick. Thanks everybody on this forum. After 1.5 years finally have CarPlay in a 2019 car. Damn, Toyota your software game is weak AF.

I downloaded the 3 files but the installation doesn't start. I waited 20 minutes but nothing happened. What could be the problem? There is no navigation in rav4...the model ID is 17TDT1EU-CA01, 86140-42541

Going round in circles here...
Unit is a panasonic 86140-42570, DCU 17TDT2EU-DA01, MEU 17TMT2EU-FA00

Versions started as Audio 1000, Nav 1512
First run of update (usb3) took audio to 1011 then nothing more
Tried USB2 and it failed, then USB1 and 3 again. Audio went to 1020.
But- Nav says it will update to 1900, it ended up being 1120 but after some restarts dropped back to 1512
And still no AA...

I finally managed to do the retrofit myself. The main problem was that USB3 was formatted exFAT which the car didn't like. Once I bought a smaller 32Gb USB, formatted it FAT32, copied all USB #3 files on it and inserted it in the car, it started the update automatically. It took about 45 minutes and now I have CarPlay on my 2019 RAV4! Thanks for helping with useful advice!

This is a long shot seeing you last posted years ago @matejjaksa, but here it goes:
I have 2019 RAV4 and the model and software IDs are just like you posted earlier (what Toyota called "illegal" state), aside from having navdb as 2020_v2. The thing is I bought a used car, took to the dealership and they failed with the updating stating they got error 001 and don't know how to proceed.
Being in the same state and version as you previously, to get it finally working, did you do the full USBs 1, 2 and 3 again, or just USB 3 again (but with FAT32 instead of exFAT) ?
Any tips or instructions?

I own the same config with navigation. I just successfully finished installation of the retrofit packages. Primarily, I installed USB3, which added AA/CP functionality, but disabled some toyota online services (including traffic info on navigation). Then I used USB1 which did some preparations and then asked to install the .kwi file - then I continued with the update process using USB2 (update of navigation app). Finally, after the system restarted, I connected USB1 stick once again, which resulted in the finalization of the retrofit (confirmed by a relevant message on the screen) and also with the reinitialization of online services. If USB1 is not used again, navigation reverts to the previous version after some time (notification about unsuccessful installation pops up) and online services cannot be started. ...And it's working.

In my case- so others should be aware- there are multiple incremental updates and as the DCU number changes you need to re-run the update so this can be picked up and more files applied. The last update for me came off USB2, not 3...

My Audio went 1000- 1011- 1020- 1023- 1075, and Android Auto appeared at 1023 but Online services disappeared, reappearing with 1075.

One quick Q tho. In the menu what is the function of SW Sensitivity Level please?

My model is 86140-07230.It was made by Panasonic. I tried to update it my self. USB1 do nothing. USB2 was updated successfully .In the beginning USB3 was running well .But in the end ,the screen turn to red. It's error 001.Some body deal it successfully? I want apple carplay so badly.

What happened next, the same issue here
