Xle....my pet peeve were fog lights if theres a spot for it why cover up? Yea i could install myself but its hassle w the wiring/auto. Push start didnt matter but once start using its pretty neat feature. Needed convenience pkg for powertail gate (wife). Other option wished i had was leather/synthetic steering wheel wrap. Sunroof never had use for it. Le was too basic on the rental i tried but it all depends on personal preference/needs.

Anyone ever did an indepth look at the difference in seats between the LE and XLE ?

I know the XLE seats seem to be, repeat seem to be, of a higher, softer quality, just curious about opinions.
Good point and so important. I tested the LE and XLE and my impression was that the LE seats were shorter and harder, XLE longer cushion and somehow more comfortable. I got the XLE.

I mainly bought my Adventure for the AWD, different front grill, two tone paint scheme, slight different interior scheme, and larger towing capacity.

The dealer had added a ceramic coating, tinted widows, and a body protection package. I told them I wouldn't pay for any of them so I got them for free.

All of the other features are more a sum of the total. I can live without any of them. But I do like having them. That said I tend to keep vehicle for ten years or more. So I bought the bumper to bumper warranty for when any of that stuff breaks.

I think the one item I enjoy the most is the key less entry and push button start. It's very nice just being able to walk up the vehicle, grab the door handle and have it unlock, get in, push the start button and drive away.

The one item I dislike the most is the sun roof. Why do vehicle manufactures think that people want these so bad? They leak, add addition cost to manufacturing, add weight to the vehicle, and no one that I know uses them because they are noisy and make the vehicle hot when they're open.

I have the 2019 RAV LE (made in Japan) ... I'm really happy ... only thing I'd change is I'd like is "a bit more power" ... but LE and XLE have the same power! Think the Hybrid might have more power but when I was buying they were really hard to find - and I didn't have time to wait around. The driver seat on my RAV is comfortable - BUT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT LOOKS THE SAME BUT IT IS DIFFERENT (A CHEAPER SEAT)!

I was really sold on the simplicity of the LE, but I am wondering if I might regret not getting the lumbar support that comes with the power seat.

I like sunroofs, but over the long term I could do without the chance of leak, and it feels like the new RAV is already a little headroom challenged.

The dual climate zones would be nice to keep everyone happy. I also like aluminum rims, but I can get the fancy Toyota ones for a grand.

Don't need keyless/power liftgates/rain sensing wipers and all the other extra stuff that goes bad in the long term.

If you bought an LE, is there anything you really wish you had? Are the security systems different?
I LOVE the lumbar support. I have a bad back, and it saves me. i didn't care about the sun roof, but now I do like it. If I am waiting for someone on a warm day, I love having the roof to relieve the heat. It's a good sunroof too, opens two ways. I would not change my XLE for an LE.

Well I got an xle hybrid, without all the extras.
No sunroof, no power lift gate, no rain cencing wipers.
I got power seat for driver, me.
Pushbutton start with smart key.
Dual climate controls, aluminum weels, power mirrors with blind spot monitoring and a weather package. As in rubber mats all over
And heated seats.

Love it so far
I have the same features except heated seats. The power seat was an essential item for me. I mostly do local driving. But occasionally take a 600 mile trip to see friends. With my earlier compact cars I developed all kinds of aches within the first two hours. I just traded in a Kia Soul, which was available with power seat and I never experienced discomfort on that long trip. I just took that same trip with our new RAV4 XLE. Same pleasant experience.

Although you didn't ask, I am very impressed with the implementation of radar governing cruise control. The system reliably maintained safe car length gaps and reduced speed when the vehicle ahead of me was below my cruise mph setting. And then smoothly resumed when conditions changed. I will always stay alert in order to take control, though. There was one incident when a trailer truck abruptly swung into my lane and I was not going to find out whether the system could avert disaster.

I have a 2019 LE. I VERY much wish I would have bought the XLE. There are a few places where Toyota REALLY CHEAPED OUT!

1) Non variable intermittent wipers. Really Toyota?
2) Manual headlights? Thanks for taking me back to 1980. I can't believe there is a car made today that doesn't have automatic headlights. I didn't think I need to check such things. (Same thing for the non variable intermittent wipers)
3) Awful seats...no lumbar support. The seatback is curved like a banana. Fat people and hunchback will like them.

Some will say "less things to go wrong" or "simple is better"

I moved from LE 2018 to Limited 2021. All features are much needed and I will never buy base version again. Always had impression that I dont care for such features, such as leather seats with cooling and heating, heating steering wheel, sound system etc. but these features are much needed.
