Anyone taking delivery yet in the GTA of Ontario? I have seen several dealership websites posting "Incoming Vehicles" with most expecting allocation deliveries this week and next. I'm getting anxious as I haven't heard anything from my dealership yet. I do see that some dealerships do have stock(very limited) of gas model Rav 4's mostly LE and XLE.

Yes! Just picked up my RAV4 Hybrid Limited yesterday from Downtown Toyota. Ordered 2021 Sept-end but received no real updates until early March when I found out it was "in production" and given ETA of April 17. Got the call from dealer on April 13 that it had landed. Had to wait a little longer to take delivery though due to Easter weekend 😃. So about 6.5 months in total for me.

Congrats! Wish my wait time will be as short as yours as I also order a limited in Feb... Just curious which color did you get?

I’m in Toronto and always looking out on the street at the RAV4’s to see if they’re 2022 hybrids. I have yet to see a Calvary blue in person. Is the hybrid logo on the back? I see it on the side at the front.
The 2022 took off the hybrid sign from the both side fenders it's only on the back and the toyota emblems front and back are still blue

Crap. So it looks like only a few are getting their vehicles depending on which model they ordered. I haven't heard anything from my dealer so I guess I will be waiting some more. I put my deposit down in Nov 2021 so I guess i'm looking at the very least summer or early fall for my XLE or SE which ever comes first.

Your probably right I ordered August 4th and I have no news
I saw my dealer about 3 weeks ago and I was now 8th on his list and last February I was 19th
But he won't get new allocation before the end of May or begging of June
So whatever he receives in April and May are already allocated to buyers

What does allocation means here , sorry if I seems crazy to ask . I was of the opinion that if we have ordered a unit and a VIN has been generated against that , the dealer is duty bound to offer the unit to the original person first .
Can a dealer swap the number and allocate ang vehicle to any buyer too ?

I'm not 100% sure
When the dealer places an order and the car is in production its an allocated to that dealer then when the car is completed the dealer gets the VIN
And also when the dealer receives a certain number of cars that were not ordered but are for in stock, like it was before all the parts shortage and all dealers actually had plenty of cars in stock, those are called dealers allocations
That is what I think

What my sales rep told me is there is no such thing as ordering an exact model you want for Toyota in Canada. Dealers get allocation based on order information dealer submit, so he told me i have a better chance of getting cars faster if i am flexible on colors, since dealer may not get enough allocations for that color.

Crap! I was hoping to get a Calvary blue SE since I switched to the SE from XLE in hopes of getting it sooner and in a colour I like.

where did you order from? I placed my order in Nov 2021 too. Originally an XLE then switched to SE (Toronto).

Hey guys any new update from anyone. I visited my dealer last Saturday and they said, there is nothing called dealers allocation at the moment here in Ontario. Toyota is falling short to a great extent to meet the demand and so all cars coming to the dealer are already sold units. In case of any cancellation or deferral request, that allocation comes to the dealer and the dealer has the right to swap with another dealer or to sell.

It all depends also on the color you ordered
Grey metallic, white, black, then silver are the most produced
Blizzard pearl, Ruby red, blueprint and cavalry blue are not produced has much so those can take longer
And the 2 tones even longer for the XSE
