Does anyone have experience with the Pirelli Scorpion Weatheractive tire? (Discount Tire | Tires and Wheels for Sale | Online & In-Person)

On paper, it looks attractive:
1. W speed rating which means stiffer side walls for better gas mileage.
2. Three peaks snow tire rating.
3. High UTQG rating for long life, good traction, good temperature (700 A A)
4. 60,000 mile tread warranty

@FKHeath this is a great contender to the Michelin CC2. Although new to the market, the numbers do suggest that it is a solid choice for true all season performance. Coupled with the instant $110.00 rebate that is good through the 26th, its a hard tire to beat, if you are in the market to buy. It would be nice to have some real world experience though.

+1 For the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3. They are much more comfortable than the OEM Dunlop PT tires

Bought from discount tire. Make sure you take the tire rack price with you when you go to get tires from Discount Tire. They own Tire Rack and will price match.
Also, the Discount Tire location near me gave me a rebate on my old tires since they still had tread. I know not all locations do this so you might want to call around and look into it

I was extremely happy with Michelin Defender LTX MS on my '19 XLE Premium and now on my '23 Prime XSE, they're extremely quiet, ride is very acceptable although a bit firm with the XSE suspension compared to the XLE premium, and they are very fuel efficient according to CR, MPG is comparable or better than the OEM Yoko Avid GT was on both R4s.

Did you also find that the 235/55R19 are not available in the Michelin Defenders 2?

How do the Defender 2 and the LTX MS compare in roll resistance?

I had a set of Michelin LTX AT on my 98 Explorer. They were good tires but with the 4L V6 in that, I wasn't as concerned about mileage. Ford also paid for most of those tires due to the Firestone recall

Defender 2 isn't listed in 235/55R19 on the Michelin site, dunno about rolling resistance for it, but CR rated the LTX MS rolling resistance as excellent, their best rating, testing was done on a dynamometer. The LTX MS is heavier than some others, but at 30.8lbs doesn't seem to be much of a factor in my use, I get the same or better fuel economy as I did with the 29lb OEM Yoko Avid GT.
