I would like one of these guards. Has anyone ordered one recently (most of the posts about it are a couple years old). If so, do I have to have a UPS account, or will they just bill my credit card directly? thanks!

In my opinion, that guard doesn't offer as much protection as the one from Southeast Toyota. The Canadian one protects the top, but the one I got from Toyota of Tampa curves over the back lip. I highly recommend it.

The total price including shipping was $71.99. This is the same protector that Deland sells for more. Here's the link:

Take a look at this thread and look at the pictures in my album:

I'll quote the whole thing...

I've one just like this one since new (optional on my '06 Sport). It fades from exposure to the elements...

I'll bet I've treated it with Armour All a hundred times.

Rear bumper guard

Just wanted to let you, goherd know that I've just ordered one at Sparks Toyota. Costs $ 62.09 shipped to California. No tax charged because shipped to address outside of South Carolina. That is exactly the same item with the lip covering the top edge of the bumper even cheaper than on E-Bay!
Here is the link that I found on R4W forum:

I realize this thread is old, but do you know whether this part # is the one that wraps over the edge or not?

I have one like this but mine seems to be integrated/molded into the bumper, like it's the bumper itself but painted in a finish to make it look like a protector, it's really weird? If it gets scratched it would mean that it can't be replaced. Anyone else with a 2012 have something like mine?

thanks for that!

My Sport SAP looks very much like the "half guard" from your original bumper, except that it also has a protective film over the the rest of it. Did yours also have the film over the rest of the bumper?
I'm thinking I should be able to lay this one right on top of the film; not sure how hard the flim might be to peel off.

Yes, definitely lay it over the film!

We just bought the Bushwacker 34001 for a 2008 Rav4... and my son snapped off one of the four retaining clips/pins/screws while putting them back in during installation of the new protector (installed over the old one, with the OEM clips).

Does anyone know what I need to buy as a replacement for that broken clip? I am clearly not googling correctly, cannot find the info I need. Thank you for any assistance!

I just did a Google search for Bushwacker 34001 and the first hit was Amazon:

Amazon.com: Bushwacker Toyota OE Style Bumper Protector: Automotive

The second hit was the Bushwacker company web site:

Toyota OE Style Bumper Protector - OE Matte Black | 34001 | Bushwacker

If you want the Toyota OEM clips, you would probably need to go to your Toyota dealer's parts department. Bring one of the clips to show them. Alternatively, you may also find similar fasteners at AutoZone or other parts places.
