I got a tracker and immobilizer installed a couple of days ago. The person that dealt with me says there is something else known as “the vault”. He said it prevents the door from opening, no matter what they do. The only way they can get in is to break the window. Has anyone ever heard of this device?
Never heard of that. But curious now

I haven't heard about this particular device, but it reminds me situation I was dealing in 90s: many non basic aftermarket alarms were equipped with set of door locks controlled by alarm only. So, you have to disable alarm first before opening door. Disconnecting alarm or battery didn't help - doors remains locked.
Installation was strait forward - separate locks for doors, hood and trunk with separate wiring circuits.

PS. Anything which uses existing door looks is actually ineffective because thieves break door locks with brute force (at least here in Canada)

And yes the Primes all have encrypted TSK/ECU security key/ SecOC.
Some people have used being able to run Comma.ai as a proxy for a car susceptible to the CANbus attack (both are sending messages to the CANbus, one is intentional by the owner, the other is by a thief). So this list of cars that can run Comma.ai's Open Pilot with a bit more hacking is probably the list of cars that will be vulnerable:

🟢 Successfully running openpilot
  • 2021-2023 RAV4 Prime/PHEV
    • All Trims supported
    • Toyota Harness A
    • Early 2024 MY situation like Early 2024 MY Sienna unknown.
    • The compatibility status of the RAV4 Hybrid or RAV4 ICE is not relevant to the Prime/PHEV. They're different vehicles.
🔴 Not hacked and can't run openpilot
  • 2024+ RAV4 Prime/PHEV
    • TSS 2.0
    • Key at least not at the same location as other RAV4 Prime
    • Brute force efforts to find key location TBD
    • At least code is executed. Unknown what might have changed.
    • New 02 bootloader3 seen
  • 2024+ RAV4 in Europe (techinfo)
