However, it looks ( from outside at least) that dash cam is not centered right below Lane Departure Camera?!
From inside, the camera housing is perfectly aligned with the middle of Head Unit.
I googled previous years of RAV4 , and Fitcamx sits right below the Lane Departure Camera.
Is this a 22 thing? Anyone with Japanese built XSE can confirm it? Never mind that dude in the pic.
Bottom picture is an internet image of 2019-2021 RAV4.
Thanks!
Could be the sensor for the rain sensing wipers which is to the right of the TSS camera (the dark space next to the TSS camera in your last photo). The difference may be cars with or without the rain sensor.

The bottom , reference , pic has a rain sensor as well. Perhaps newer cam designed to offset to the left to accommodate digital mirror and rain sensor connectors. I compared cam plastic housing: it is different from whatever is on internet.
or perhaps my OCD got out of remission?!
Anyone with 2022 MY has installed FITCAMX ?

I just installed mine and its offset like yours.

I just installed mine and its offset like yours. Maybe thats just how it is. Doesnt affect how the camera is so its fine with me.

@SueM I got my camera and forgot to message you. I bought the 4K front camera, the Installation was super easy and fast. Look at the before and after photos. It's so sleek and nice, the picture quality is great too.

@Tom4Life - You say the install was easy. Can the average person do it? What was the most difficult part of the installation?
Yes, the installation (for this specific camera) was easy. I added "for this specific camera" because i struggled to installed my previous dashcam.

This dashcam requires no wiring or cable from the camera to the fuse box or to any socket. All you do is open the box behind the mirror, replace it with fitcamx box, connect the camera plug to that of the car's lane tracing assist plug (which are all shown in the installation guide or 30s video) and that's it..... DONE

BTW, has anyone lost live preview in the App?
While it is recording and dumps looped files to the App, I somehow lost live view?! It’s trying to connect , but still a blank screen.
Edit: I figured it out, momentarily disabling cellular data, restores wifi connection with the Camera.

For those concerned, installation is super duper easy: inpatient person like myself completed it under 10 minutes( 7 of which was unboxing and waiting for AC to cool car down).

Looks good! In the end I decided to get the Thinkware one. It’s quite small. Not 4K but serves the purpose.

Only complaint I have is it takes for ever to download a clip from the camera to my phone. I know, it's faster do remove the sd card & do it on the Computer. Otherwise, works great......

Just to confirm before I purchase the FitCamX, all 2022 RAV4 Hybrids regardless of assembly location have the vent holes (model B on FitCamX website) and it's only the 2022 RAV4 Prime that has no vent holes (model A on website), correct?

If so, as a soon to be owner of a 2022 RAV4 Hybrid, I should buy model B.

Mine has vents

I'd wait until delivery to confirm. Fitcamx.com lists two models ( A & B) for 2022, so why not wait until you get ahold of your shiny new car?!
My, Japanese built, XSE has a vented cover.

Yes, model B is for those with vents and model A is for those without vents. I'd recommend you wait until you receive the car then you can order. I just bought another Fitcamx for my wife's car. I am in love with the camera already. I download most of the videos through the app while the car is on and then post them on my YouTube and Facebook channels directly. It saves me a lot of time. Great and helpful video. Thanks!
Been looking to get one as well.
Only thing is my 2022 RAV4 has the technology package with the digital rearview mirror.
Wondering if anyone experienced any compatibility issues with this.

I have same XSE as yours, a digital rear view mirror has its own connector, so does the rain sensor.
So no issue there.
Camera gets rather hot, but what doesn’t in 100 degrees weather?!
I was worrying about lane keep assist camera on the top of fitcamx camera, but then it should withstand any baking under windshield .

Thanks. Did the lane keep assist still work on yours?
