I am currently looking to replace the all-season OEM tires.

I was dead set on getting General Altimix RT43 (H rated). They are highly rated on TireRack and on this forum and the price is very decent.

However I see that Canadian Tire also has a sale on the General Evertrek RT (also H-rated) for about $9 less per tire but everything else seems better on paper. This tire is amde by General for Canadian Tire only and reviews are scarce.

Can anyone give me feedback on the General Evertrek RT? Also, does the RT43 ever come on sale at Canadian Tire?

Just found out that the RT43 is getting a mail-in rebate of $35 but not the Evertrek.
Now it is really a no-brainer.

Since I did not pick the tires up yet (online order), I will just return and buy the tires on the spot.
Why throw away good money? :)

My wife has General Altimax Arctics on her Prius wagon right now. Amazing tires. I was going to get the RT43's for my Rav but they were out of stock in my size so I spent a little more and got the Continental PureContact Ecoplus which I can't even believe how good they are in snow and how quiet they are. My friend just put the RT43 on her Forester as per my recommendation. They are excellent as well. The only gripe that I have about them is that they are a bit more bouncy than my contis. Equally as good in snow though. Very nice choices.

I ordered the RT43 from Canadian Tire after all. I am suspecting the prices might jump once the old stock is over. The Canadian dollar has not been doing great lately.

For the price, I don't mind the tires being a little bouncy. I guess increasing tire pressure by a few PSI would be fine.

The Yokohama Geolanders G91 lasted only 35K miles. The last 5K miles were painful to the ears.
