I’m on 235 70 16 Toyo Open Country AT3s with KMC Alpine wheels. I’m looking to get some spacers as I want a slightly more aggressive stance. I did some perusing but are there any good spacers out there?

Look great! I'm really debating between this exact tire and rim setup or try to go 17x8 +40 BR Boxer and 245/65/17 Wildpeaks. I just don't want any rubbing and the +40 offset of the 17's makes me think it could rub. I just don't want to go all in on a setup and have it rub. There's only one guy I know of who did the 17's with the +40 (@rav4mass) and he confirms he didn't have any rub before lifting.

But mine will be a weekday commuter/weekend warrior, so the possible MPG's saved and minimal sluggishness could be great. On a sidenote, I think this tire and rim size looks good because it doesn't fill in the wheel well like the 245/65/17's do, which give them this "lowered" look until you lift it.

And if I do decide to lift it eventually, I assume I could keep the rims and go bigger on the tires, which I like the small rim big tire look anyways. Decisions, decisions....

Finally got these puppies on:

What modification did you need to make the hub rings work? Im wanting the same size setup but with Black Rhino Boxers, which take the same size hub rings

Can I get some info on those blue bumper lights?!
Sure! I took some flush mounts and painted them. Here is some more detail

I went with Black Rhino Boxers in a 16x7 ET15.
Wrapped with a toyo open country AT3 in 235/70/16.
Absolutely no rub and I have no lift.
Guys have ran the same offset with 245/70/16 and not rubbed, but I can't speak to whether that rubs when articulated.
I went with 235/70/16 to be on the safe side for those weekends and have yet to run into any problems. (Also cheaper)
Also the 16s will give the car a slightly wider stance, as its 25mm further out if you go with the 245. (20mm further out if you go with 235)

I also got hub rings, and those are placed in the rim's hub to fill the gap between the rim hub and the wheel hub.
There's no modifications needed, just press them into the rim's hub. They help with vibrations.
Lots of info if you look back through all the pages.

Thanks for the details! Appreciate knowing your setup is rub-free. Yea I was definetly wondering about going with the BR Boxer 16x7 +15 too. One thing I like about them is that the 16's have a less flat face to them, mostly because of the offset. Looks cooler IMO. Aswell as the pushed-out wheels look, overall nice and aggressive. I wondering if this slightly wider stance changes the driving experience much?

Im gonna do 5 wheels total, rotated.

If I went with the 16's, the 235/70/16 would be great, but going 245/70/16 would add another 1/2 inch in diameter, so 1/4 inch of sidewall for more ground clearance and more rubber. This would bring it up to the same tire width and diameter that a lot of guys run with their 245/65/17 tires. If I could get a clear answer to whether this would rub at all, even on compression i'd go with the 245/70/16. But again with your setup your Speedo and odo are gonna be more accurate, and probably less sluggish than the larger size? Also your size is lighter, less unsprung weight

Thanks again
