Hi Guys,

Anyone using COPPER Denso or other branded spark plugs on 2007 RAV4?

Will going from Iridium ( DENSO SK20R-U11) to Copper (DENSO K20R-U11/K20-U11) cause any issues??

Thanks!!

Not sure why you would want to switch? Copper plugs will wear faster. My 2009 came OEM with Iridium's and they are rated to 120,000 miles. I am at 104,000 and plan to switch mine out sometime this year. Mileage is not necessarily a perfect indicator since half of my commute time is spent stopped at stoplights. Still.... 10 years on a set of iridium plugs is decent.

Rockauto list that Denso K20R-U11 for your car so it is ok to use. But unless you are selling the car you might as well use Platinum spark plugs as it will last 2 times longer while only paying a buck more a piece. If you hate to change your spark plug often and want it to last 120,000 miles go with Iridium.
