My ship date is also late April. Probably same mfg. schedule and shipping schedule. My contacts told me car could be ready for shipping as early as April 20 but probably nearer to 4/26. I also have a temp VIN #. I was told that permanent VIN would be issued when car is ready for shipping. I am expecting East Coast arrival late May and ready for delivery to me around Memorial Day or first week of June. That is if there are no delays, earthquakes etc. It is, what it is, I guess! Good Luck.
You're pretty accurate. Once the dealer has the permanent vin, car is built. Then transported to port at Toyohashi within a day or two. The RORO NYK ships stage and are loaded within a few days (less than a week). If your dealer has ship date, look at the marine traffic sites and locate which ship is at the port, or staging just off port. You can track it to PONY by clicking on the ship and seeing it's destination. First destination for East Coast deliveries is the Panama Canal, then on to JAX for a day and on to PONY. Total on water is 29-30 days. A few days to a week in PONY, loaded onto either a train or transporter to dealer for delivery within a few days. The marine tracking data is free when the ship is near land. Have fun tracking the progress. Right now the Andromeda Leader and the Taurus Leader are loading. Believe Andromeda is headed to PONY and Taurus to Portland.

Your sales drone at the dealership where you've placed your order can log into his account at Toyota's "DEALER DAILY" and track your unit.

That'll take all the guess work out of it. He can give you shipping, eta, etc.

That's a screen cap of my unit from Japan. He had told me when it rolled off the line and given me the projected vessel departure date. With that information, I checked the port arrival schedule in Portland, worked backward, and stalked my RAV4 as it crossed the Pacific.
If you don't mind: how did you find the vessel your car is on, and how did you track it?

Can you post a link (or links) to the marine traffic sites with that info?

Thanks for the update. I am a part time resident of Charleston. BMW uses the port to ship vehicles to Europe and also to the US west coast and Asia. They typically have at least one ship departing weekly. Cars are railed 225 miles from their mfg. facility in Greer, SC. Volvo is also shipping cars from their new mfg. facility 25 miles west of Charleston. Container traffic from Asia typically takes 14-17 days from Asia to Charleston with stop at port in Long Beach, Ca.

Got an email from my dealer today that my Rav4 Prime will be built on April 26.
What kind of timeline from build date to shipping and then arriving at the dealership have people seen?

Thanks!
Denofel, here's the timeline for my Prime:

1-27 Ship "Cetus Leader" departed Toyohashi
2-22 at JAX
2-22 departed JAX for NYC
2-24 arrived PONY 10:23 pm
3-2-21 still A-status (still at the port).
3-8 Vehicle in "F" status (Freight status, meaning "on the truck")
3-12-21 Truck left PONY
3-15-21 Arrived at MA dealer; dealer overnighted Certificate of Origin to me
3-16-21 Received Cert of Orig
3-17-21 Obtained TN title, registration, Plate at local TN DMV
3-18-21 Flew one-way TN to MA, plate in-hand; drove ½ way back to TN
3-19-21 Completed drive to TN (1,000 mi total)

I recommend that before April 26 you check the Toyohashi port daily to see which vehicle carriers are there. This should help you confirm the name of your ship. (Today, 4-8-21, Andromeda Leader is in port.)
Then, track it (for free) to the US using marinetraffic. Here's a link for Toyohashi:

Naturally, since you're on the west coast, your ship won't have to pass through the Panama Canal, and the cruise from Japan to the west coast will be much shorter than mine.
There is a long gap between 1/27 and 2/22 in your timeline. Is that for crossing the pacific? If so, then the time through the canal was quick. What is JAX?

Denofel, Yes, it takes a long time to get to the Panama Canal from Japan, but only a day or two to get through the canal.

If you know the west coast arrival port for your vehicle, you can watch that port on marinetraffic.com for ships arriving from Toyohashi, and then you'll know the typical transit time to the WC.

Initially, I was following several ships since I wasn't "up-on" how to track until after my ship left Japan.
"Jax" is Jacksonville, FL, and after passing through the Panama Canal, the ships usually stop there first to drop-off vehicles before proceeding to NY. I found my correct ship after it left Panama since at that point, I knew to watch Jacksonville.

Your dealer should be able to tell you your actual ship departure date from Japan, but they probably won't know the ship name.

I am sure mine will arrive at Portland.
Denofel, here's the pier to watch for your Prime arrival near Terminal 4, Portland:
