New update on the toyota app removes the ability to read tire pressure all together. It's not included on the app, it doesn't matter what subscription you have. Called toyota to confirm and it looks like and oversight.

You might as well have been talking to Bozo the clown. Toyota's "help" line is a joke.

I got that one too it's pretty cool. The car should have come with it. Thank god it's only $30 bucks and 5 minutes to install.

 

The fact that there’s no psi display on the dash is a huge fail by Toyota.

 

My 2022 XLEP has tire pressure displayed on the MID and I just checked my tire pressure via the app.

 

What you state is not correct. I have the latest updated app and I just checked my tire pressure via the app.

I have noticed that the newer app is much slower to connect which is frustrating. The tire pressure still exists but me thinks maybe the newer app is laid out differently so perhaps it's in a different spot on the app, now? I just got my TRD in August, so I'm pretty new to the app to begin with...

You are right. The new app (version 2.0.0) removes the tire pressure display for those without Service Connect.

 

I check the tire pressure via a tire pressure gauge. Works great

I am using an iPhone and I see the info as posted by WillRav4Tacos. I am not going to post my photo images since they have been done.

 

I can see the individual tire pressures. Had the car serviced at Toyota last week. I had not checked the pressures until today. Pressures are 40 40 40 and 39. Sticker says they should be 35. So much for “dealer service”.

 

Was that after you drove the RAV or when it was before being driven?

 

I tried to update my software. I got the message to update. I followed the instructions, got the code on my iphone, and before I could input it, the update in the car timed out and it says the network is not available and to try later. Go figure. I tried it several times and no worky. I’ve had this problem with updates before. Also the information telling you how to do the update and access the screen isn’t clear. You have to be clairvoyant to make it work. Or interpret more than what the actual words say.

 

When I open my app it is located in my garage.

I found that the Toyota app works best if you delete it. Buy a digital gauge and check your tire pressure monthly, or buy the module from China and have it on your dash display.

How does a car with autonomous cruise control, lane assist, and a l digital display rear view mirror not have a digital display for tire pressure or a compass??

On a basic Jeep Compass you can check tire pressure while driving by toggling the buttons on the steering wheel and it will display it on the screen right in front of you. This is the way it should be for safety reasons. Let’s say you are driving on the freeway at night and it is cold and stormy and you get a low pressure alert. Is the pressure 1 PSI or 30 low? You need to know this to make the decision to pull to your the side of the busy freeway or keep going to a safe location.

You can also display engine coolant temperature, engine oil temperature and transmission temperature. The Compass also has a compass.

I can see the tire pressure on my iPhone using the Toyota app. I open the app and then it shows my XSE I look toward the bottom of the app for Vehicle Status. I tap on the Vehicle status and it shows Doors, Windows and Tire Pressure . Further down there is a red button that says See Details. Tap on it then it shows the tire pressure. And when it was last checked.

FYI I am running the latest App.

 

The XSE has Audio + or premium audio, so the tire pressure was always on the app. But for other cars without Audio + or premium audio, the tire pressure disappeared on the 2.0.0 app, but came back with the 2.0.1 app.

 

The latest update brought it back for me.

Doesn't the app mostly record the tire pressure when you're ending your drive? Meaning you're not getting the "cold tire pressure". Doesn't that mean the numbers will tend to read higher than if you let it sit for at least 2 hours and measure?

 

From what I understand its not actually the live reading which is stupid since the TPMS sensors do have the info for live readings, why Toyota wont let you see it is beyond me...
