Hi.
I have owned this RAV4 since 2012 and its been a great car... but I have recently started having issues with the stereo unit and whilst I could just replace like for like, I thought it might be good to upgrade slightly.
I have the basic unit with a built in 6 disk internal CD changer (I think its a model 58827 (86120-42220) and with this, I also have a 30 pin apple iPod connector and a Bluetooth module for hands free calling which use the steering wheel buttons.

Do you know if there is an OEM unit that will do music streaming as well as hands free calling all via Bluetooth? I am not bothered about NAV as I usually use my phone for that but if it can screen mirror (or Apple CarPlay) then that is a bonus.

I have been looking at the model B9004 (86120-42240) but I cannot find anything that tells me if it supports Bluetooth streaming of music or not.

I would rather keep to OEM in order to keep it looking stock... but its not essential providing it looks like it should be there (i.e. not obvious that its non standard!)

Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks

Here's what the back of the radios look like. There is an 8-pin connector on the back of the 42220 radio that will not match any connector on the 42240, whereas the rest should fit.

My stock radio didn't support any BT functions, had to add something called Blu-Logic that was plug-and-play, but that only allowed voice calls, no music streaming. What BT module are you using?

Hmmm…I’ve been doing BT music streaming with my BluLogic for years now.
