I am ordering the cable you sent link above for, from amazon.


I got the flip key from amazon and got it cut at Home Depot for free.

If I am able to program this key successfully then I would have got the whole key + cable programming for 18+ 23 = 41$. Lmao at the dealership who asked for 250$ to get me a duplicate key lol

Did you try and install the software yet? Might be a good idea to have it ready to go when the cable comes in.

Btw. Did you test the cut key to make sure it turns the engine?

Yes, I was able to open the door with the key, the key won’t start the car as I need to program the transponder.
I am actually trying to by pass the required key for tech stream do you have any hints on how to get a key?

Which version did you use. If you use the one I posted you just need to hit the CANCEL button and the page will disappear. Then hit connect to vehicle button and it will lock for the cable

Ps . You have to make sure you use the TS LOADER SHORTCUT button that came with version 14

I clicked on the shortcut it created on my desktop. It doesn’t seem to be pre-cracked software as I thought it to be.
I am planning to order the cable which includes they techstream key and the drivers too for windows 10.

I don’t have a windows 7 machine and this seems to take more time than I would like to spend on it, if I go with the route of ordering the cable with only win 7 drivers.

it is pre cracked. you must be doing something wrong.

when you open techstream goto the SETUP TAB open it. Then click on VIM SELECT then make sure in the INTERFACE box it says XHOURSE-MCVI. if not open the drop down box to see if its there. if its not there then you didn't install the drivers correct
